This first challenge was mostly about my inner transformation and facing past demons. I learned many of the basics of goal setting, training, and nutrition. I did "shrink" from a size 14 to an 8/10 losing a lot of fat and gaining a little bit of muscle. Many people who do the challenge only progress to smaller versions of their previous bodies. That is a product of "fear" of training, only wanting to use light weights and low intensity. If you top out your intensity, dig deep to tap into the endless resources of your inner power, you will actually transform the SHAPE of your body, not just shrink. My second challenge allowed me to put to use all that I had learned this first time around, transforming the shape of my body, and learning to appreciate the good things I DO, and to stop thinking about myself in terms of other people, my associations, and who I'm trying to impress other than myself. Transformation is a journey, not an end point. And when you are dealing with lots of emotional/psychological damage, the results don't happen overnight. You have to be in it for the long haul. You have to get over instant gratification because IT WON'T HAPPEN. You decide to change, and then you must be satisfied with the fact that you made the decision to do so and are now in action at doing it. Otherwise, your expectation of instant results will lead to you giving up on your dream. Stick with it no matter what. You will achieve your goals.
