Finally a real candidate for Senate: LeRoy Collins, Jr.

By the way, I'm feeling much better and actually prepping for a competition in 5 weeks!!! More on that later.....

LeRoy Collins, Jr. (R) is running to garner the Republican nomination for the US Senate in Florida to replace the incumbent, Bill Nelson (D). Mr. Collins, the only military veteran on the ticket, is running against the black sheep Katherine Harris who at the moment is still ahead in the polls. They didn't poll me, so I don't know how accurate it is.

I found a questionnaire online done by the Catholic Church that asks those campaigning a simple Support or Oppose question on the top issues. The one that stands out for me is amnesty for illegals. The question is worded in context of the Church, ofcourse, basically would you support a program for undocumented workers to earn their citizenship (aka - amnesty). Bill McBride the closet liberal lawyer from Tampa said he supports it, Katherine Harris did not respond (though she responded to 80% of the other questions, so silence is consent), and LeRoy Collins was the only one to answer OPPOSE.

I have found that he is the only candidate willing to come out, on the spot, short answer, and say he opposes amnesty, wants to send them back to Mexico or where ever they came from, build a wall, and secure the borders. He doesn't dance around the issue. Definitely a blunt and straight shooter. I wish he'd get his name out there more. The commercials are on the radio, but I haven't heard a good interview from him yet on Pat Campbell's show. I hope he gets on sometime today or Monday before the Primary on Tuesday.

  • Nicole, I am so glad that you are feeling better and sound like you are back in the saddle.

Thanks for the information on Leroy Collins, Jr. Although both my husband and I are registered "democrats", last time and this time we plan on voting republican. We don't get much info about the republican candidates so all info is welcomed!

You are such an inspiration to many and the way you rebounded from surgery is incredible, especially since you are now working towards a competition in the very near future. The best to you always... Your website rocks! LOL, one day to be muscle chick too! aka B. Goree
