But what about ME!?!?
Alright already! You people....email bombing the crap out of me: "When are you competing again?" "What are you benching right now?" "When's your next competition?" "What are you doing for training right now?" "Are you doing the July show in Georgia?" ....blah, blah, blah.....
So here's the news on Nicole:
I was sick all spring. It started with the come down off the World's last November. So much extreme dieting for FOUR shows last year really killed my metabolism and my immune system. The average is 2 shows a year, and I did FOUR which is overboard. Then the flu in February. Then a little cold here, a sore throat there. Crap didn't stop until almost April.
There was no chance of getting in any off-season training to get ready for the July pro show in Georgia. And since it's taken a few weeks to get my momentum up in the gym I've had to set a very safe and conservative show date of September 16th in Kansas City.
This is all a strategic move given the trend of physiques that show up to that show in figure: hot and hard! I did this show last year and got 6th. It's also the best done show I've ever competed in. Cushy venue, big stage, huge backstage, decent and reasonably priced host hotel. And the number of competitors is always over 100 for a really huge and VERY competitive show.
So right now I'm still able to train hard and heavy to gain back any muscle I've lost while starting to lose bodyfat. That will keep up for the next 4 weeks. Then that will taper off by the end of July. In August I'll be in full dieting mode.
My goals are to continue to push my best. Fine tune my nutrition, come in even leaner, start eating carbs earlier in the day on Friday before competition so I can come in harder and have better energy for the stage, relax more on stage, fine tune my presentation, bring more elegance to my stage walk. Still arguing over my next suit color: royal blue or deep red. Either way I'm having to invest more money for more bling. It's a hefty reminder that you can't make money in this sport, you only burn it! And I am still looking for a solid, dependable sponsor. In the meantime, help me out by clicking on those Google ads and buying your supplements and competition supplies through my website!!!
We're also promoting an INBF show here in Orlando next spring. The tenative date I've picked is May 19, 2007. We're going to have open amateur and novice classes in bodybuilding, figure, fitness, and a Best Body bikini contest for cash. We're looking for advertisers and sponsors for that show right now to discuss money and advertising possibilities. Either way, it's already looking like INBF's first show in Florida is going to be kick ass and we don't have a choice but to do it HUGE! This is Florida for crying out loud, and natural athletes have been begging for a natural show for YEARS! We've finally stepped up to make that happen for Florida.

thanks for checking in on me. Good luck with all your prep this year. I can completely understand after getting super sick from doing the 5 comps back to back. It wiped me out with Whooping Cough and pneumonia for over 4 months! You definitely sound back on top of things now. Big hi to Tony too!
